Collection contains deeds, wills, bonds, receipts, and other legal documents and property records pertaining to real property in Charleston, South Carolina. Legal documents chiefly concern land and buildings at the southwest corner of Anson and Society Streets, but also property at the southwest corner of Beaufain and Archdale Streets, and at the corner of Anson and Hasell Streets. Individuals named in the documents include John N. Martin (a bricklayer), John Jacob Schnell (a grocer), James L. Corley, George Nicholas Fitter, Laura A. Tweitmann (daughter of George N.
